Clinical Supervision

Emily has served as Co-Director of the Psychodynamic Approaches in Clinical Practice One-Year Evening Program at the National Institute for the Psychotherapies, and provides both training and supervision to clinicians. To aid supervisees in employing best practices with their patients, Emily draws on her twenty years of experience and extensive training in multiple therapeutic modalities. The process often involves in-depth exploration of the clinical process and integrates theory and self-reflective processes. Emily works with therapists with a full range of experience. Clinical supervision helps individuals in these professions recieve guidance, support and oversight to enhance their skills, ensure ethical practice, and maintain the well-being of both practioner and client.

A powerful way to learn both theory and practice and to hone clinical skills. Emily loves teaching psychoanalytic and psychodynamic theory and integrating that with her deep understanding of trauma theory and practice which includes training in AEDP, EMDR, and Theraplay.
