When considering our busy lives and the many obligations and responsibilities we face on a daily basis, it can feel hard not to worry sometimes. However, it's important to make sure that our worry doesn't affect the quality of our lives or impair our ability to function in the day-to-day.
If you find that you're spending a lot of time worrying, or if you're experiencing ruminating thoughts, difficulty sleeping, or physiological symptoms of anxiety, you may find it helpful to speak with someone.
I provide a supportive environment to help work through anxiety while utilizing various approaches in treatment. A few of these include cognitive interventions to better understand the sources of anxiety, mindfulness and relaxation techniques to work towards mitigating the physiological impact anxiety has on the body, and depending on the specific needs of each client, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) may be incorporated as well.
