Transitioning into motherhood is no small act. Difficult physical and emotional adjustments coupled with hormonal changes, can make the task feel insurmountable. Adding to the challenge many women face is the shame and guilt associated with feeling the way they do. Despite awareness of post-partum depression entering mainstream conversation, there is still much work to be done to normalize the topic and eradicate the stigma.
